sure that the hearing instrument is disposed
of properly, so the waste will undergo
necessary treatment, recovery and recycling
and thus prevent potential negative effects
on the environment and human health.
Disposal Guidelines
Battery disposal
· For battery disposal, follow the battery disposal
guidance based on the current United States
federal laws and regulations. Many states have
regulations in place requiring some form of
battery recycling. The regulations of some states
may require recycling for certain types of
batteries different than other states.
· If you are using batteries outside the United
States, other nations may regulate waste based
on different criteria. Confirm the status of
batteries in the nation where disposal occurs.
