Useful Functions
Pretending to Be Out Function
You can use the Pretending to Be Out function to play a message indicating your absence
when you receive a call from the main entrance or unit entrance and do not want to answer it.

The Pretending to Be Out function is not available when receiving a call from the building manager
room. ( does not appear.)
●
The away from home message is played
for the caller.
●
When the message finishes, a "beep"
sound is played and a video or audio
(base unit with sound recording function
is audio only) message can be
recorded.
●
Approximately 15 seconds later, the
"beep" sound is played again and the
Pretending to Be Out response ends.
●
The recorded video and audio can be
played back later. ( Pages 204 to 205)
●
The away from home message can be
changed or recorded in your own voice
under the "Not-home setting" ( pages
103 to 105).
●
The away from home message is played
when answering with the call sub-base
unit with monitor, but no audio or video
is recorded.
●
The following away from home message
is fixed for the call sub-base unit with
monitor. It cannot be changed. "I can't
answer the phone right now. Please
leave your name and message after the
beep."
●
If the number of unplayed video screen
recordings exceeds the maximum
number of recordings, then no more
recordings can be overwritten and the
Pretending to Be Out response cannot
be used. Play back the video screen
recordings which have not been viewed.

When no one answers the call from
the building manager room (without video
capability), the absent message is played
automatically. ( Page 27)

A "beep" sound is played, and the
TALK button lights up.
If you do not press the TALK button to end the call,
the room sound will be transmitted to the caller.
●
A "beep" sound is played, the TALK
button turns off, and the call ends.
●
The main entrance is unlocked, the UNLOCK
button turns off for approximately 2 seconds,
and then it starts to flash in green again.
●
The call automatically ends approximately
5 seconds after pressing the UNLOCK button,
and then the UNLOCK button and the TALK
button turn off.

the TALK button turns off automatically
and the ringtone also stops.
In the case of a call from the main
entrance, the LOBBY indicator turns off.
