Network setup - Camera port/Client PC port

DHCP
Select "On" or "Off" (default) to determine whether or
not to use the DHCP server.
Select "On" to obtain an IP address, a subnet mask
and a gateway address from the DHCP server. Set to
"Off" when entering the addresses above manually.

When "Off" is selected for "DHCP", enter an IP
address.

Enter a subnet mask according to the network configu-
ration when "Off" is selected for "DHCP".

Enter the gateway address according to the network

Static route
Determine whether or not to validate the static route
setting. To configure this setting, click the [Setup >>]
button.
DNS setup
■
DNS
Select "Manual" or "Auto" to enable to search the IP
address from the host name using the DNS. Select
"Off" when not using the DNS.
"Auto" is available only when "On" is selected for
"DHCP" (using the DHCP server). (Page 63)
"Manual" is available regardless of the "DHCP" setting
(using the DHCP server or not).
When "Manual" is selected for "DNS", enter the DNS
server addresses to "Primary server address" and
"Secondary server address".

Primary server address
Enter the IP address of the primary DNS server.

Secondary server address
Enter the IP address of the secondary DNS server.
■
Domain name
Enter the domain name of the recorder. (Default: local-
domain)
Enter up to 255 alphanumeric characters including
hyphens (-) and periods (.).
The first character of the domain name should be an
alphabetical character.

Important:
• The network settings for each port (IP address, etc.)
should be configured with a different subnet.
• When "On" is selected for "DHCP" and any frame
rate other than "Off" is select for "SD memory rec.",
a request for writing data onto the SD memory card
demanded at the startup of the recorder may fail.
This error may occur when the response from the
DHCP server is slow.
However, a request for writing data onto the SD
memory card will be accepted once the addresses
have been obtained from the DHCP server.
Port forwarding

Port forwarding
Select "On" (default) or "Off" to determine whether or
not to set the port forwarding.
■
Port number
When selecting "On" for "Port forwarding", set numbers
from 1 - 65525 to the port numbers of each camera.
(Camera1: 60001 (default) - Camera64: 60064)
The following port numbers and the port numbers used
for the HTTP port, for the FTP port, for the site alarm
setting, and for the port forwarding are unavailable.

161, 162, 546, 547, 995, 10001, 10002, 10003, 10004,
10005, 10006, 10007
