recorder provides a 10/100Base-T connection to LANs, WANs, or the
Internet. Remote locations can then be monitored anywhere from a PC.
Panasonic digital recorders use the industry-standard JPEG format. With
normal compression, image quality is superior to that of S-VHS tapes.
With superfine compression, horizontal resolution rises to over 500 lines,
allowing clear observation of even the finest details.

Either 8 or 16 thumbnails can be displayed simultaneously, making it
easier to quickly select the frame to be examined. Just click on a
thumbnail and it expands to fill the whole screen. By clicking other areas,
cameras can also be selected. And by using the jog shuttle, fast-forward
and rewind can be performed to quickly skip over undesired frames.

The WV-CU50 optional Remote Controller allows control of the main unit
from a distance. Use of the jog shuttle and other search features is also
simplified.
Use of 3D scan converter techniques eliminates blurring caused by moire
in still images. Imagines are digitally corrected one frame at a time. Even
in high-tempo, action filled scenes, the details of the still images remain
crisp and clear.
Mirroring Prevents Data Loss
You may add optional hard disks (80GB to 2,080GB - in 80GB increments)
for back-up that allows for the use of mirroring to ensure data integrity. If
one hard disk should fail, the data will be preserved on the remaining one.
To Prevent Data Alternation or Improper Operation
To prevent arbitrary changes in settings or other inappropriate actions, the
system can be password protected. Attempts to erase or modify data can
also be detected.
Multi-Shot Mode
When responding to an emergency button or sensor, recording starts before
the signal is received. This allows examination of the scene before the
emergency has begun. Now, the whole incident can be observed, something
virtually impossible to do when using conventional recorders.
Event Mode
Several different cameras record images in response to sensor signal or
pre-set timer.
By adding a Motion Detector Board WJ-HDB501, recording can
be started automatically when the system detects motion in the image
being displayed. Recording only scenes in which motion occurs in effect
increases the amount of time available for recording.

function, images from up to 16 cameras can be viewed simultaneously on a single
monitor. Recording and live monitoring can be performed simultaneously. You can
playback any image while continuing to record and monitor. The viewing area can
be a single window or divided up to sixteen windows.
