Maintenance
Only authorized service technicians may repair the instrument.
If the instrument is malfunctioning, please test:
- Battery condition and polarity
- Condition of the fuse(s) if available.
- Condition of the test leads.
Changing the battery(s)
Replace the battery(s) when the battery symbol or BATT is displayed on the
LCD.
Attention!
Always switch off the appliance and remove the test leads from all voltage
sources before opening the device to exchange the battery or the fuse.
1.
Open the battery compartment.
2.
Replace the spent battery with a new one - note the correct polarity
3.
Close the battery compartment.
4.
Disposal of the flat battery should meet environmental standards.
Fuse(s)
Checking the fuse(s) in the unit:
Set the rotary switch to the position "µA", "mA", "A" or "Battery test"
In case of defective fuse, the display shows "FUSE ," "mA " or "A " and the icon
"Fuse defective". At the same time, you can hear a signal sound.
Changing the fuse(s):
1.
Remove the protective cover and the screws of the battery or fuse
compartment using a proper screwdriver and remove the lid.
2.
Remove the broken fuse carefully from ist holder.
3.
Reinset the new fuse and ensure proper fitting. Use equivalent fuses only.
4.
Close the device.
