ELECTROSTEER TROUBLESHOOTING 

UNIT DOES NOT RUN: 

1.

Check the ba ery and connec ons.

2.

Unplug the 2‐prong motor connector at the relay control. Check the motor
by using a double lead jumper from the ba ery directly to the 2‐prong plug
coming from the 12  volt electric motor. 

If the unit does not run, replace

the motor.

3.

If the motor tests OK, the problem is in the relay control or the switch

UNIT RUNS BUT THE RELAY CONTROL OR SWITCH IS 
BAD: 

1.

Unplug the 3 prong plug coming out of the relay control.

2.

Jump from red to green for one direc on and red to blue for the reverse
direc on.

3.

If the unit does not run or runs only one direc on, the problem is in the
relay control. 

Replace relay control.

4.

If the unit runs in both direc on, the problem is the switch assembly.

       

WIRELESS REMOTE TROUBLESHOOTING 

Weak Signal/No Signal

1.

Programming the transmi er to the receiver:

A.

disconnect power to receiver (either posi ve or nega ve terminal).

B.

Enable the transmi er by pressing the power bu on, the LED will
flash twice.

C.

Hold down either direc onal bu on on the transmi er.

D.

While holding down bu on connect power for about one second.

E.

You should hear a relay on the receiver “click.”

F.

Release bu on and fully reconnect power

G.

Your transmi er is now programmed to the receiver.

2.

Ba ery may be low. 

To replace the ba ery, remove the screw on the back of the

transmi er. Remove the back cover carefully, no cing how the rubber membrane is
seated in the case. Remove and replace the ba ery. Re‐install back cover making sure
that the rubber membrane is seated in the case.  A er replacing ba ery, reprogram
transmi er.  Install screw and carefully  ghten. Do not overt  ghten. Dispose of old
ba ery properly. During periods of long inac vity, it is recommended to
remove the ba ery.

3.

Receiver is obstructed. 

Move receiver in a direct line with the transmi er.  Make sure

the antenna is not obstructed
