Convert to Another Gas Type
The conversion process (orifice change-out) is the same for each gas. Whatever gas your burner unit is set
up for, it is supplied with a conversion kit (Figure 20 left) to allow changeover to the other fuel type. The
customer must provide the required LP gas inlet or NG flex line.

This procedure must be completed by a licensed plumber or gas professional.
1.
Shut off and disconnect the gas source from the burner unit
2.
Remove the cover and grate; set aside
3.
Lift the burner out and set it on the top surface

The igniter plug is attached to the burner knob
•
Do not pull on the cable enough to unplug the igniter

Use a shallow 6mm socket and handle to reach into the burner opening and carefully remove the
brass orifice screwed into the end of the valve stem (Figure 21)
NOTE: Brass fittings are fragile. Very little pressure is needed for a secure connection.
5.
Replace the orifice with the change-out orifice; follow these precautions:
