Matrix2000 repeaters

2. General Description

Matrix2000 repeaters have been designed to provide a remote indication and operation 

of the Matrix2000 fire alarm panels of  4 to 24 zones. 

There are six (6) basic models for 

the Matrix2000 repeaters:

The analytic indications and the simple controls of the Matrix2000 repeaters ensure the 
easy handling and controlling of the system by the operator. 

3. Installation

3.1 Installation checklist

Prepare the site: Make sure the installation location is free from construction dust,

debris, extreme temperature ranges and humidity.
Unpack the equipment

Install the cabinet: See ‘Installing the cabinet’ for cabinet  dimensions.

Install optional components

*

Review wire routing.

*

Connect the field wiring.

*

Check for opens, grounds, and shorts before connecting.

*

Connect ground then AC power.

*

Ensure that the AC circuit breaker is OFF before connecting high voltage 
wires (220-230/110-120 VAC) to the Matrix2000 panel’s main connector.

Connect Matrix2000 fire alarm panel’s batteries.

*

Test for proper operation.

*

3.2 Installing the cabinet

Cabinets can be surface or flush mounted. To wall mount the cabinet:
1. Position the cabinet on the finished wall surface.

2. Fasten the cabinet to the wall surface where indicated.
