Identifies the interface type
based on the physical/link
protocol(s), immediately
below the network layer.
Supported values:
Used for the network and
DSX-1 T1 interfaces.
Used for synchronous
data ports when not
configured for V.35. Used
for EDLs and FDL
management links.
Used for COM port when
the port is configured for
PPP, and the DDL.
Used for the COM port
when the port is not
configured as a network
communication link.
Used for the COM port
when the port is
configured for SLIP.
Used for the synchronous
data ports when
configured for V.35.
