RS-232-Like MIB, RFC 1659
Supported for all of the synchronous data ports and for the COM port. RFC 1659
is an SNMPv2 MIB, but is converted to an SNMPv1 MIB to support this unit. This
MIB consists of one object and five tables:

General Port Table
Asynchronous Port Table
– Not supported for the synchronous data ports.
Synchronous Port Table
Input Signal Table
– Not supported for the COM port.
Output Signal Table
– Not supported for the COM port.
General Port Table, RS-232-Like MIB
The General Port Table contains configuration options for the RS-232-Like
interfaces. Clarification for objects contained in this table as it applies to the unit
is provided below.

Identifies the port hardware
type.
Supports only the following values:
other – Identifies the synchronous
data ports configured as
EIA-530A.
rs232(2) – Identifies the COM
port.
rs422(3) – Identifies the
synchronous data ports
configured as RS449.
v35(5) – Identifies the
synchronous ports configured as
V.35.
x21(6) – Identifies data ports
configured as X.21.
rs232PortInSig
Number
(rs232PortEntry 3 )
Contains the number of
input signals in the input
signal table.
The value is 2 for synchronous ports
and 0 for the COM port.
rs232PortOutSig
Number
(rs232PortEntry 4 )
Contains the number of
output signals in the output
signal table.
The value is 2 for synchronous ports
and 0 for the COM port.
