Defining a Profile for a Channel Port
CAUTION
Do not use the terminal or PC profile number for any other
profile definition or you will lock yourself out of the system.
1. From the Configuration menu,
TYPE: 1
PRESS: Enter
The Channel Parameters menu appears.
2. A maximum of eight channel profiles can be defined for use on the NETWORKER. These
profiles are numbered 1 to 8. To determine which profiles have been assigned to specific
channel ports,
TYPE: 2
PRESS: Enter
The Channel Profiles screen appears showing the channel port numbers (0–13) and the
profiles (1–8) currently assigned to them.
For example, if Channel 9 has already been assigned Profile 3, while Channel 6 has been
assigned Profile 2, then no channels have been assigned for Profiles 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8. Select a
profile number that has not been used.
3. To return to the Channel Parameters menu, at the enter profile number > prompt,
TYPE: E
PRESS: Enter
The system returns to the Configuration menu.
TYPE: 1
PRESS: Enter
The Channel Parameters menu appears.
4. TYPE: 1
PRESS: Enter
The system displays the following prompt:
Node (101) enter profile number >
5. TYPE: the number of one of the unassigned profiles
PRESS: Enter
