Reading of the assembly and operating instructions:
The assembly and operating instructions must be read and observed
before assembly. Failure to observe the information releases the ma
-
nufacturer from any liability. All the provided mounting brackets must
be used and fixed with all the fixing points.
Intended use:
Awnings can be used exclusively for the purpose defined in the ope
-
rating instructions. Any alteration, such as modifications or additions,
which are not intended by the manufacturer, can be made exclusively
with the written permission of the manufacturer.
Additional loading of the awning by means of hanging objects or
anchoring wires may damage the awning or make it fall down and it is
therefore not allowed
Operating instructions:
An awning is a sun protection, no all-weather protection. It must be
retracted in case of wind or storm, as well as of snow Should the
awning be equipped with an automatic control (e.g. wind and sun
sensor), this must be turned off over the winter (danger of icing).
Should the awning be exposed to rain, it must be adjusted with a
minimum inclination of 15°.
Transport:
The package of the awning must be protected from humidity A soa-
ked package may loosen and lead to accidents The awning must be
transported on the correct side to the installation location, so that it
does not have to be turned under tight space conditions. Should the
awning have to be hoisted with the help of ropes, it must be removed
from the package and tied with ropes so that it cannot slip and that it
can be hoisted steadily in horizontal position. The same applies to the
disassembly of the awning
Uncontrolled operation:
When working in the area of awning the automatic control must be
turned off. There is danger of crushing and falling. Furthermore, it
must be ensured that the system cannot be accidentally manually
operated Hereto the power supply must be interrupted, eg the cir-
cuit breaker must be off. In the same way in case of manual operation
the control crank must be hanged and kept safe Should the awning
be run by more users, a priority switching locking device must be in-
stalled (controlled power interruption from the outside), which makes
impossible every opening and retracting of the awning.
Electrical work:
The electrical fixed installation must take place according to the
legal and local regulations and must be carried out by an authorised
electrician. Please follow the enclosed installation instructions of the
electrical appliance
Test run:
When opening the awning the first time nobody must be under the
area of the awning. The fasteners and the mounting brackets must be
visually checked after running the awning the first time.
Crushing und shearing zones:
There are crushing and shearing zones between the front profile and
the cassette and coverings and in the zone of the articulated arms
as well as between the facing profiles. Clothes and parts of the body
may be caught and dragged by the system!
Climbing aids:
Climbing aids cannot lean against the awning or be fixed to it. They
must have a solid stand and provide sufficient support. Use exclusi
-
vely climbing aids which have an adequately high supporting capacity.
Fall protection equipment:
When working at great heights there is danger of falling Adequate fall
protection equipment must be used.
Attention:
Delivery without fixing material. The fixing material must be de
-
termined by the assembler according to the pre-existing mounting
surface. In case of usage of fixing material optionally ordered with the
awning, we assume no liability for a proper and professional instal-
lation. Only the assembler shall be liable for ensuring that the fixing
material is suitable for the masonry and that the montage is profes-
sionally and adequately performed. The assembly instructions of the
manufacturer of the wall plugs must be absolutely observed!
The articulated arms are under high spring tension!
HIGH RISK OF INJURY BY MEANS OF THE COMPO-
NENTS OF THE AWNING UNDER TENSION!
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:
Fixing screws and plugs must be determined according to the moun
-
ting surface. Please follow the indications of this fixing material. The
wall and ceiling brackets must be firmly fastened to the mounting
surface. In case of a mounting surface which is not pressure-resistant,
possibly use base plates of aluminium
For different surfaces please find attached the wall plug extraction
forces depending on the width and opening of the awning In case
that the extraction forces are higher than the maximum permissible
force of the fixing material, more suitable fixing material must be
used and / or the number of anchors per arm must be heightened
(e.g. by mounting a larger plate) and /or the permissible wind pressu
-
re must be limited, by means of ensuring that the wind class achieved
by means of the montage of the awning is under the wind class
verified by the manufacturer.
