7.2 Terms and conditions of warranty
If your rechargeable battery is used in accordance with the in
structions, we guarantee to you that it will be free from defects
in material and workmanship caused by the manufacturing pro
cess for the warranty period indicated on the warranty certific
ate beginning on the date of initial purchase. Claims under the
warranty shall be subject to a limitation period of 12 months.
The warranty provided applies in addition to the warranty oblig
ation of your dealer. Your statutory rights with respect to your
dealer in the event of defects are not limited by the warranty or
any claim under the warranty. The warranty certificate stamped
by the dealer serves as your proof of warranty and ownership.
What does the warranty cover?
If, exceptionally, a defect is discovered, at the manufacturer's
discretion the rechargeable battery will be repaired or replaced,
or the purchase price will be refunded. If it is replaced, the re
placement battery will either be the same model or a model
that is at least comparably equipped. Replacement or repair of
the rechargeable battery shall not serve as the basis for a new
warranty. All replaced parts will become the property of the
manufacturer. Further claims are excluded. This applies partic
ularly for any claims for compensatory damages. This dis
