 Thread hex jam nut (Item 5) onto bladder 

valve stem (Item 2). Secure valve stem from twisting 
with an appropriate wrench applied to the valve 
stem flats. Torque jam nut to proper torque based 
on accumulator size per the Suggested Approximate 
Torque Values on page 2 of this guide.

 Once the bladder valve stem has been pulled 

through the valve stem opening in the shell, install the 
valve stem hex nut (Item 5) by hand. Once the valve 
stem hex nut is in place, remove the bladder pull rod.
