The screen can be terminated on the controller body by crimping into a 6.3mm
crimp terminal. It is suggested that only the controller end of the screen is
connected to earth.
4.3. RS485 Network/Junction Box (to be supplied by customer)
Depending on the dryer model and site specific conditions.
For ease of wiring and to retain the IP rating of the connectors at the dryer,
domnick hunter
recommend that the connections on a multibank installation
should be brought back to a junction box. The “daisy chaining” inter-connections
can then be carried out in the junction box, which will allow ease of wire
identification and fault finding. The RS485 cable from each dryer should be
routed back to the junction box and terminated as shown in Figure 3. An
additional cable should be added which is then routed back to the Remote
Communications Enclosure.
NB:
The maximum length of the dryer network cable must not exceed
1200m.
