Assemble thrust
washer & bearing
NOTE
6. Assemble thrust washer (13) then thrust
bearing (12) that was removed from the
Series TC, TB, TS or TE Torqmotor™.

NOTE: TC, TS, TB and TE Torqmotors™
require one thrust washer (13) with
thrust bearing (12). The coupling shaft
will be seated directly against the thrust
bearing.
For a TJ Torqmotor™ that did not require
replacing the bearing, assemble a
new
backup washer (15) & backup ring (16) and
a
new
seal (14), with the lip facing to the
inside of Torqmotor (see figure 57A), by
working them around unseated thrust wash-
ers (13) and thrust bearing (12).

7. Be sure that a generous amount of clean
corrosion resistant grease has been applied
to the lower (outer) housing bearing/bushing
(18). Install the coupling shaft (10) into hous-
ing (17), seating it against the thrust bearing
(12) in TC, TS, TB and TE Series housings.

CAUTION
NOTE
CAUTION: The outer bearing (18) is not
lubricated by the system’s hydraulic
fluid. Be sure it is thoroughly packed with
the recommended grease, Parker Gear
grease specification #045236, E/M Lubri-
cant #K-70M.
NOTE: Mobil Mobilith SHC ® 460
NOTE: A 102 Tube (P/N 406010) is includ-
ed in each seal kit.
NOTE
NOTE: The coupling shaft (10) will be
flush or just below the housing wear sur-
face on the TC, TS, TB, TE & TJ Torqmo-
tors™ when properly seated. The cou-
pling shaft must rotate smoothly on the
thrust bearing package.
