Annually
Element types
VL,XL,
ZL
must be replaced
once a year.
On element types
XL
and
ZL
the electronic
condensate drain must be inspected for
impurities. Clean the mesh screen on the
electronic condensate drain if the conden-
sate is very dirty.
The ball cock in the assembly kit enables
pressure to be relieved in the electronic
condensate drain without depressurizing the
entire section of line (see
Parts overview
(for overview drawing page 71), page
27
).
With a Service Kit it is advisable to replace
the wearing parts on the electronic conden-
sate drain once a year by way of preventive
maintenance (see
Spare parts
, page 28).
As required
The maximum exchange interval of activated
charcoal element
A
is 650 operating hours.
The following factors can require a prema-
ture exchange:
1.
high
temperatures,
2.
high
oil mist concentration,
3.
high
relative humidity.
This means you must perform regular
measurements to determine the optimum
exchange interval.
Check that the electronic condensate drain
functions perfectly. Note the additional
information in the manual for the electronic
condensate drain.
Replacing the fi lter element
Depending on size, a fi lter housing may con-
tain up to 14 fi lter elements. The following
description refers to a single fi lter element
(see drawing on page 3).
Until you need to use them, store the fi lter
elements in their original packaging in a
clean and dry place.
!
Risk of injury from escaping
compressed air!
Depressurise the fi lter before carrying
out any work on the fi lter! A sudden
escape of pressure may cause
serious injuries.
– Block compressed air supply to the fi lter.
– Depressurise the fi lter. To do so, you may
have to open the condensate drain at the
fi lter bottom.
– Unfasten screw (6) on the screw connec-
tion of the housing element and remove
the screws (4).
– Swivel lower section of housing (5) to one
side.
– Turn
fi lter element (2), remove it and
dispose of its in accordance with the
operating instructions.
– Replace seal (1).
– Install new fi lter element from the top (3)
and turn until secured fi rmly.
– Close lower section of housing, install all
screws and tighten down the nuts.
– If necessary, close the condensate drain
and open the pipe to the fi lter.
– Check the fi lter for tightness.
