Swivelling the cutter bar
1. Hold the blade safety bar (1) on the
bottom of the motor head (2).
2. Press the release button (

blade safety bar (1) into the desired
angular position and release the re-

attach the shoulder strap
The carrying strap (

equipped with a quick-acting
release mechanism so that the
device can be released quick-
ly from the carrying strap in a
dangerous situation. To open
the push-fit lock (

press the two clamps (

together.
1. Put on the shoulder strap. Do not wear
the shoulder strap across the chest.
2. Attach the shoulder strap spring clip
(

13) to the carrying eyelet (
A
9) on
the tubular shank of the device.
3. Set the strap length such that the spring
clip (

13) on the shoulder strap (
A
12)
is roughly at the height of your hip.
You can vary the position of the car-
rying eye (9). Loosen the carrying eye
(9) using the enclosed hexagon socket
wrench (19) and slide it along the
tube to the desired location.
Then refasten the carrying eye (9).
The hexagon socket wrench (19) can
be found on the handgrip next to the
battery insertion point.
Remove/insert battery
1. To remove the battery (

15) from the
device, press the release button on the
battery and pull the battery out.
2. To insert the battery (
A
15), push the
battery along the guide rail into the de-
vice. You will hear it click into place.

Switching On and Off
Ensure that you are standing in a
firm position with both hands grip

fore switching on.
