8. Place the cover (4) on the tool and
fasten it with the 4 screws (3).
If the grindstone (8) is not
in the correct position, the
cover (4) cannot be closed.
Make sure there is not a gap
between the cover (4) and the
tool housing (5). The ventilation
slit (7) above the Parkside logo
is not considered a gap.
Trial run:
Carry out a trial run of at
least 1 minute duration without
load. Switch the device off immedia-
tely if considerable vibration occurs
or if you hear abnormal noises.
Removing blockages
Before any maintenance or
cleaning work, turn the ma-
chine off, pull out the mains
plug and wait for the grind-
stone to stop. There is a risk
to life and limb through elec-
tric shock, fi re and the rotating
grindstone.
• Ensure that the mains plug is dis-
connected from the mains supply.
• You can now remove the blocka-
ge in the machine.
Cleaning and
servicing
Remove the mains plug befo-
re carrying out any adjust-
ments, maintenance or repair work.
Have any work on the de-
vice that is not described in
this instruction manual performed
by a professional. Only use origi-
nal parts. Allow the device to cool
off before performing any main-
tenance or cleaning. There is a
danger of burns!
Always check the device before
using it for obvious defects such
as loose, worn or damaged parts,
correct the positioning of screws or
other parts. Examine the grindsto-
ne (8) in particular. Replace dama-
ged parts.
Cleaning
Do not use any cleaning
agents or solvents. Chemical
substances may attack the plastic
parts of the machine. Never clean
the device under running water.
• Thoroughly clean the device after
every use.
• Clean the surface of the device
with a soft brush or cloth.
