Preparation for work
Prepare the surface to be painted
The surface to be painted must be clean, dry
and free of grease. When working indoors, any
surfaces that have not been covered could get
soiled. Therefore, prepare the surrounding areas
thoroughly:
- Cover or tape over floors, furniture, doors and
window frames.
- Place sufficient covering material (plastic sheeting,
cardboard) under the paint bucket and base unit.
Prepare the paint
- Prepare the paint according to the manufacturer's
instructions.
- Stir the paint thoroughly and dilute it if necessary.
Prepare paint roller
♦
Before first use, dampen the paint roller evenly
with clear water and wring out the excess.
Preparable coating materials
Water-based dispersion and latex paints for interior
and exterior walls.
Non-workable coating materials
Solvent-based paints and coatings and materials
containing heavily abrasive components.
Assembly
♦
Press the side locks on the handle downwards.
Fit the roller bracket , paying attention to the
guide slots (see fig. A).
♦
Release the locks again to fix the roller bracket
in place.
♦
Screw the extension adapter into the handle
from below (see fig. B).
♦
To ensure an easy assembling, apply a thin coat
of lubricating grease at the marked points.
(see fig. K + L).
NOTE
►
You can also attach standard extensions for
paint rollers to the handle (can be bought
separately in DIY stores). Push the extension
into the extension adapter mounted for
this purpose. Plugging or screw the exten-
sion of this in one of two mounted extension
adapter .
Mounting/changing the paint roller

First push the inner roller to the paint roller
(see fold out page).
♦
Insert now the cap in the paint roller
(see fold out page).
Controls on the appliance
Main switch :
♦
Switches the appliance on (“I”) and off (“O”).
On/off switch paint pump :
♦
Press once and release to switch on the pump
to supply paint to the paint roller .
♦
To switch off the pump, press the button again.
Operation
♦
Hold the height-adjustable paint bucket attach-
ment to the side and pull upwards (see fig. C).
♦
Place the paint bucket on the section “X” (see
fig. D) so that the handle of the paint bucket is
between the two brackets.
NOTE
►
Important: The handle on the paint bucket
must be between the two brackets. Other-
wise, the bucket could tip and spill paint
while being carried.
♦
Push the height-adjustable paint bucket attach-
ment downwards to fix the paint bucket in
place (see fig. E).
♦
Fix the intake hose into the bracket and push
it down to the bottom of the paint bucket (see
fig. F).
♦
Switch on the appliance using the main switch .
