Charging the battery
If warm, allow the battery to cool
before charging.
Charge the battery (9) when only
the red LED on the level indicator is
illuminated.
1. Remove the battery (9) from the device.
2. Slide the battery (9) into the charging
slot of the charger.
3. Plug the charger into an outlet.
4. After charging is complete, a green
light will be illuminated permanently.
You can now disconnect the charger
from the mains supply.
5. Remove the battery (9) from the charger.

Inserting/removing the
device’s battery
Inserting the battery:
• Push the rotational direction switch (7)
into the central position (locked). Allow
the battery (9) to latch into the handgrip.
Removing the battery:
• Press the release buttons (8) and remove
the battery (9).
Inserting an SDS Plus
tool
The dust protection cap (2) largely prevents
the ingress of drilling dust into the tool
holder during operation. Ensure the dust
protection cap (2) is not damaged when
inserting tools.
If damaged, the dust protection cap
(2) must be replaced immediately. It
is recommended for this to be perfor-
med by customer service.
1. Pull the locking sleeve (3) backwards to
unlock the SDS-Plus receptor (1).
2. Rotate the tool into the SDS-Plus recep-
tor (1).
3. Release the locking sleeve (3)
4. Check that the tool is secure by pulling
on it. The tool exhibits some radial
play for technical reasons.
Removing an SDS Plus
tool
1 Pull the locking sleeve (3) backwards
and remove the attachment tool.
