Verification conduction
7.6.1 External examination
7.6.1.1
During external examination it is necessary to make sure
that marking conforms to specifications requirements and there are no visible
damages of case, power supply cord and plug, input commutation contacts,
connector assembly and cable. To check joint of jaws of clamps and make
sure that the surfaces are clean.
7.6.2 Determination of insulation resistance
7.6.2.1
Insulation resistance measurement is made with megger at
a fixed voltage of 1000 V.
7.6.2.2
Measurement is made between input contacts, joint to-
gether and contacts of power supply plug, joint together.
7.6.2.3
Insulation resistance is to be no less than 2.6 MW.
7.6.3 Try-out
7.6.3.1
Connect the device to three-phase alternating current sys-
tem, three phase conductors are to be connected with red terminals A, B, C
of the device.
7.6.3.2
Switch on the device. When shifting the connection of con-
ductors on terminals A, B, C make sure that the display shows “Direct phase
alternation” and “Reverse phase alternation”.
7.6.4 Verification of effective range and measurement error of
direct voltage measurement
7.6.4.1
Connect the device to V1-13 system.
7.6.4.2
Switch on the device on and make sure that zero value of
voltage is shown on indicator.
7.6.4.3
Make measurements in the following range points: 10, 100,
200, 300, 460 V.

garding electric injury protection.
3.2
Protection level of the device case according to GOST 14254-
80 (IEC 529) is IP54.
3.3
Only persons who had got safety instructions and studied the
present Manual are permitted to work with the device.
3.4
It is prohibited to switch input circuits of the device with voltage
in the researched circuits.
3.5
Switching on the researching circuits one should make all the
operations with one hand.
3.6
Defining the phase alternation order the device automatically
connects A, B, C inputs as a “star”, the resistance between any two “star”
rays being 2 MW. Unused terminals (“cold” in phases A and C) are com-
pletely disconnected.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DEVICE AND PRINCIPLES
OF ITS OPERATION
4.1
Purpose
4.1.1 Voltamperephasometer “Parma ВАФ-A”, TU4221-006-
31920409-2004 is a completely automatic universal device.
4.1.2 The device is intended for measurement of direct voltage,
effective value of voltage and current of sinusoidal alternating current with
simultaneous calculation of active and reactive power in a circuit, meas-
urement of frequency, voltage-voltage, current-current (if the device is
completed with two clamp), current-voltage phase shift and determination
of phase alternation order in three-phase systems with midpoint or with-
out it.
4.1.3 The device may be used for complex protection tests of
generators, transformers and lines, in current and voltage transformer cir-
cuits, as well as for adjustment of phase-sensitive relay protection
schemes and so on.
4.1.4 The device is designed in accordance with requirements of
GOST 22261 and current GSI (State System for Ensuring for Uniformity
of Measurments) standards.
4.1.5 The device OKP code is 42 21 99.
