The appliance comes fitted with an approved supply cord and can be connected to an
appropriately rated plug that is compatible with the socket-outlet that is fitted to the final sub-
circuit in the fixed wiring that is intended to supply this appliance. It is necessary that all
installation and connections are carried out by qualified personnel and that the connections meet
all New Zealand regulatory requirements.
Connection of Feed Cable to Mains
In the case of direct connection to the mains (hardwired without plug), it is necessary to insert a
suitable omnipolar switch before the appliance, with a minimum opening of 3mm between the
contacts – the grounding wire should not be interrupted by the switch.
Before connecting to the mains, make sure that:

The electrical counter, the circuit breaker, feed cable, and socket are suitable to withstand the
maximum load requirements as detailed on the rating label.
•
The supply system is regularly grounded as per New Zealand regulations.
•
The socket or omnipolar switch can easily be reached after the appliance is installed.
•
After connection of the appliance to the mains, make sure no wires come into contact with any
parts of the appliance subjected to heating.
•
Never use reductions, shunts or adapters which can cause overheating or burning.
This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer of separate remote-
control system.
It is essential that this unit is operated in conjunction with some form of
