Safety instructions for fitting a canopy
IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ INSTRUCTIONS FULLY BEFORE USE
Parry canopies have been designed to be fitted in a kitchen over an appliance, as
part of an extraction solution. Please note that it is the responsibility of the
architect/ customer to specify the correct size and capacity extraction unit for
their particular situation, and this must be done and fitted in accordance with the
regulations in force with particular attention paid to the Health and Safety at Work
Act
All appliances other than those fitted with a sealed moulded plug must be
fitted by a qualified electrician, in accordance with current regulations.
To prevent shocks, all appliances whether gas or electric, must be
earthed.
To avoid scratching the highly polished exterior surface of this equipment
whilst in transit, the protective film on the exterior surfaces has NOT been
removed.
It is IMPORTANT that this protective film is peeled off before the
equipment is used.
Ensure the unit is isolated from the power supply before installing,
cleaning or maintaining any part of the extraction canopy.
All gas appliances should be installed by a registered fitter in accordance
with current regulations
Canopies in the range due to their size, or the fact they may contain
internal fans, can be heavy. Take care when moving them. We would
advise fitting the canopy to the wall or overhead beam, requires a
minimum of two people.
