Getting Started
Product Overview
The Lasair II particle counter is an airborne-particle counter designed for either
mobile or dedicated use. The sizing channel threshold and the sample flow rate vary
with the particular model. See the chart below for each model’s channel thresholds
and flow rates.
Counting Technique
When the Lasair II particle counter begins sampling, the internal pump creates a
vacuum to pull air into the sample inlet. The sample flow is controlled to maintain
1 CFM (50 LPM for the 350L and 550L) of airflow through the sampler. A variance
of only +5% in airflow is allowed in a valid sample.
