Lasair II Particle Counter Operations Manual
Compatibility With MiniLaz Buttons
The Lasair II particle counter is compatible with MiniLaz TouchRAM buttons, but
there are some differences. In general, buttons written by the MiniLaz can be used
by the Lasair II particle counter. When a Lasair II particle counter format button is
scanned by a MiniLaz, it is ignored.
MiniLaz buttons have the following characteristics:
•
MiniLaz buttons support the first five channels of particle alarms, but do not
support particle alarms on the Lasair II particle counter’s largest channel.
•
Particle alarms in metric units written by the MiniLaz cannot be converted to
meaningful particle counter alarms.
•
MiniLaz buttons support temperature and rh alarms, but not user analog channel
alarms.
•
MiniLaz buttons can read the Particle Measuring System address.
