The button "Gain test" only appears if you are about to make an active acquisition, and
allows you to create fictitious acquisitions with a trigger included as in a real acquisition.
The Gea24 system will acquire signals from the geophones, will compare them with a
threshold and return to the noise monitoring window by configuring each individual
geophone with high gain if the acquired signal is below the threshold used, or with a low
gain if the signal acquired is located above the threshold. The operator will be able to see
the settings chosen by the system during the gain test and modify them.
The window also contains the following control buttons:
-
Cancel - Exits the display window of the "Geophones Noise Monitoring" and goes
back to the homepage;
-
Acquisition - Exits the noise monitoring function and moves to the acquisition
start screen waiting for the trigger (see section 6.4.2.1 and figure 12) or, if you are
creating a multiple passive acquisition, on the SEG2 parameter management
screen (6.5.1);
-
Gain test - only appears if you are about to make an active acquisition and it allows
you to automatically set the gain by executing a test acquisition.
6.4.2
Trigger Window
The window can be represented in two different ways: active and it must have the
automatic trigger, or passive and so you will have a manual trigger.
