Passive acquisition: manual trigger
In the case of passive acquisition some data acquisition windows concerning the SEG2
files used to save the scanned data are shown, as these acquisitions can be long lasting
and in this way you can still save the acquired data up to the moment of an interruption
of the acquisition (controlled by the operator, or due to low battery, or other problems).
These SEG2 data acquisition windows are shown in paragraphs 6.5.1.
The wait window of the manual trigger window will show the "Start acquisition" button,
and the system will wait for you to press this button to start the acquisition.
Once the operator has pressed the start acquisition button, if a waiting time after manual
trigger equal to 0 was set under "Acquisition Configuration", the acquisition by the
geophones will begin immediately; otherwise, the screen will display a progress bar, after
which acquisition by the geophones will automatically start.
In the case of an non-multiple acquisition, the Gea24 system will carry out acquisition in
a continuous way for the planned duration of the acquisition configuration, whereas in
the case of a multiple acquisition the Gea24 system will carry out the sequence
acquisitions and pauses between acquisitions as determined by the acquisition
configuration.
The window also contains the following command button:
• Main - Exits the acquisition window and goes back to the homepage, in this case, the
acquisition is not carried out and you will need to repeat the procedure from the beginning
(New acquisition -> Noise Monitor -> Acquisition).
6.4.3
The "Acquisition in progress" window
The "Acquisition in progress" window will show a progress bar indicating the percentage
of acquisition.
The window also contains the following command button:
-
Main - Exits the current Acquisition window and goes back to the homepage, the
acquisition is stopped and the data collected will be lost.

Stacking
During an active acquisition, if a stacking value different from 1 has been set during the
“acquisition configuration” phase, the system will automatically proceed with the
acquisition of the repeated signal. This means that at the end of an acquisition, the system
