Check whether the type of the plug corresponds with the type of the socket.
The data on the nameplate must correspond with the actual power supply voltage.
Warning! Risk of injury! Before inserting battery pack make sure that the On/Off switch
(3) is not switched on. Switch the jig saw on only with an inserted saw blade. Pay
attention when working that the air vents are not covered up or congested.
Switching on / switching off
•
Insert battery pack (5) in to the power tool.
•
Press the lock-off switch (2) and then press and hold variable speed trigger (3).
•
To switch off release the switch (3).
Warning! Risk of injury! Danger of backlash! Put the power tool away only after the saw
blade comes to complete standstill.
Stroke rate selection
Different materials require different number of strokes. The best setting can be verified by a test cut.
•
Stroke rate depends on the pressure at the variable speed trigger (3).
•
With fine saw blades a higher stroke rate can be used; rough saw blades require lower speed.
•
After using the jigsaw for a longer period with a lower stroke rate, the power tool can heat up
intensely - allow the power tool to cool down for 3 minutes running idle at maximum speed.
Pendular stroke setting
Pendular stroke results from horizontal movement of guiding roller in addition to normal up and down
movement of the saw blade holder. The saw blade, when moving down, recedes from the material and
thus simplifies the removal of chips and reduces friction. Small or no pendular motion improves the cut
edges. In case of soft materials such as wood or plastics, a larger pendular stroke can be used. When
cutting curves, work without pendular stroke – this will decrease stress on the saw blade.
•
Set the pendular stroke selector (9) to one of the following positions 0/1/2/3:

The best combination of stroke rate and pendular stroke setting is dependent upon the material being
worked on. The table is for reference only. It is recommended to perform a test run on a piece of scrap
material.
Sawdust blower
The sawdust blower leads an air jet to the saw blade. The air jet keeps sawdust from covering the cutting
line while working. The air flow can be switched on or off with the vacuum flow control (8).
•
Blower effect switched on (see Picture G) – For working with wood, plastic and similar materials that
produce large amounts of sawdust.
•
Blower effect switched off (see Picture H) – For working with metal and with use of coolant /
lubricant as well as when using dust / chip extraction.
