•
Press the adjuster to keep the depth setting.
Information on the drill bits
The machine is designed for using replacement drill bits with cylindrical shaft, with diameter from 1,5 to
13 mm and is equipped with a gear rim chuck. Bits with ¼” (6,35 mm) hex shank can also be used. Always
use a drill suitable for the material being worked.
Warning! Risk of injury! When replacing the drill bit, wear protective gloves. The drill
bit and chuck may become hot during use, especially when impact drilling.
Drill bit clamping
•
Open the chuck (1) by inserting the chuck key (2) into one of the holes around the chuck and turning
the key counter-clockwise. The jaws will dilate.
•
Insert the drill bit into the jaws of the chuck and tighten the chuck evenly around the drill bit by
turning the key (2) clockwise. Fully tighten and make sure the drill bit is centered.
•
Place the chuck key in the dedicated loop (7) so it is always at hand. Never leave the chuck key (2) in
the drill chuck during operation!
Note:
Before drilling, make a short test to see if the drill bit is centered and straight. Do not use bent or
damaged drill bits and discard them.
