distance away from the tool and not in direct line (front or back) of the grinding wheels.

correctly and rotate freely.

Using the built

in light
The
workplace illumination (

) will come on automatically whenever the bench grinder is
switched on.
The arm can be bent
to set the light into
a suitable position.
Keep your hands out of the grinding
wheel area while the machine is running.
Danger of injury in case of contact with the grinding wheel.
Grinding
•
Wait until the machine reaches its full rotation speed. Then you can
begin working.
•
Hold the workpiece firmly against the tool
rest
.
Hold very small pieces with pliers or suitable clamps.
•
Feed the workpiece smoothly and evenly against the grinding wheel
face
.
Keep the workpiece
moving across the face of the wheel to prevent uneven wear of
the grinding
wheel.
•
Never grind on the side of the wheels!
•
Do not attempt to increase the working speed by putting more pressure on the workpiece. The
grinding wheels work more efficiently when only light pressure is applied.
•
Pro
longed grinding will cause most workpieces to become hot. Use care when handling hot objects.
•
Avoid overheating the workpiece.
•
Regularly check the condition of the grinding wheels
