MACHINE SPECIFIC SAFETY WARNINGS
FOR MULTI TOOLS
a)
Use the machine only for dry sanding/
sawing/cutting.
Penetration of water into
the machine increases the risk of an electric
shock.
b)
Pay attention that no persons are put at
risk through sparking. Remove any com-
bustible materials in the vicinity.
Spark-
ing occurs when sanding metal materials.
c)
Caution, fire hazard! Avoid overheating
the object being sanded as well as the
sander.
d)
Always empty the dust collection sys-
tem before taking breaks.
In unfavorable
conditions, e.g., when sparks emit from
sanding metals, sanding debris in the dust
box, micro filter or paper sack (or in the fil-
ter sack or filter of the vacuum cleaner) can
self-ignite. Particularly when mixed with re-
mainders of varnish, polyurethane or other
chemical materials and when the sanding
debris is hot after long periods of working.
e)
When working with the machine, always
hold it firmly with both hands and pro-
vide for a secure stance.
The power tool
is guided more secure with both hands.
f)
Secure the work piece.
A work piece
clamped with clamping devices or in a vice
is held more secure than by hand.
g)
Keep your workplace clean.
Blends of
materials are particularly dangerous. Dust
from light alloys can burn or explode.
h)
Never use the machine with a damaged
cable. Do not touch the damaged cable
and pull the mains plug when the cable
is damaged while working.
Damaged ca-
bles increase the risk of an electric shock.
i)
Wear protective gloves when replacing a
tool in the device.
Tools heat up with pro-
longed use.
j)
Keep your hands away from the area of
the saw blade.
Do not grip the underside of
the workpiece. Contact with the saw blade
may result in injury.
k)
Use a suitable detector to locate con-
cealed services supply cables / pipes
or approach your local public utilities
services providers.
Contact with electric-
ity cables can lead to fire or electric shock.
Damaging a gas pipe can lead to an explo-
sion. Penetration of a water pipe can lead to
property damage or to electric shock.

If you use the device outdoors, always
connect it through a residual current
device (RCD) with a maximum trip cur-
rent of 30 mA.
If using an extension lead,
always use one that is approved for outdoor
use.
m)
Do not touch and/or inhale harmful/
toxic dust generated during work. All
persons in the vicinity of the work area
must wear appropriate personal protec-
tive equipment for protection against
harmful/toxic dusts.
Use the dust extrac-
tion facility and keep the work area well
ventilated.
n)
Hold power tool by insulated gripping
surfaces, when performing an operation
where the cutting accessory may con-
tact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Cut-
ting accessory contacting a “live” wire may
make exposed metal parts of the power tool
“live” and could give the operator an electric
shock.

Ensure that there is adequate ventilation
when working on plastic, paint, varnish
etc

Do not soak the materials or the surface
you are about to work on with liquids
containing solvents.
