GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY 

WARNINGS

WARNING Read all safety 

warnings , instructions , illus-

trations and specifications provided 

with this power tool.

 Failure to follow 

all instructions listed below may result 

in electric shock, fire and/or serious in-

jury.

Save all warnings and instructions 

for future reference.

1 TRAINING

a) Read the instructions carefully. Be-

come familiar with the controls and 

the correct use of the machine be-

fore attempting to operate the ma-

chine.

a) This unit is not designed to be used 

by children. Children should be su-

pervised to ensure that they do not 

play with the unit. Children are not 

allowed to carry out the cleaning 

or maintenance. This unit may be 

used by  persons who have limited 

physical, sensory or mental abilities 

or who have inadequate experience 

and/or knowledge of the unit, if they 

are supervised by a person respon-

sible for their safety or they have 

been instructed by the person how 

to use the unit, and understand the 

resulting risks.

b) Never allow children or people unfa-

miliar with these instructions to use 

the machine. Local regulations can 

restrict the age of the operator.

c) Keep in mind that the operator or 

user is responsible for accidents or 

hazards occurring to other people or 

their property.

d) Never operate the machine when 

you are tired, ill or under the influ-

ence of alcohol, drugs or medicine.

e) The appliance is only to be used with 

the power supply unit described in 

the manual.

2 PREPARATION

a) Use eye and ear protection. Wear it 

at all times while operating the ma-

chine. 

b) While operating, always wear sub-

stantial footwear and long trousers. 

Do not operate the machine when 

barefoot or wearing open sandals. 

Wear protective glasses.

c) Do not wear loose clothing or jewel-

lery  and take care of long hair, they 

can be sucked into the ventilation 

slot. Use sturdy gloves,  long trou-

sers, nonskid footwear and safety 

glasses.

m) Operate the machine in a recom-

mended position and only on a firm, 

level surface.

d) Do not operate the machine on a 

paved or gravel surface, where 

ejected material could cause injury.

b) Never operate while people, espe-

cially children, or pets are nearby.

3 OPERATION

 

a) While operating the machine, always 

ensure that the operating position is 

safe and secure. Keep the balance 

at all time. Always  be sure of the 

footing on slopes. Walk, never run. 

b) Disconnect the unit from the power 

supply (i.e. remove the plug from the 

mains, remove the disabling device 

or removable battery) if the machine 

starts to emit strange noises or to 

vibrate. Before starting and operat-

ing the machine again:

check for damages;

 

-

repair or replace damaged parts;

 

-

check for loosened parts and fix 

them;

c) To reduce fire hazards, keep the 

machine free of debris, leaves and 

excessive lubricant.

d) Disconnect the unit from the power 

supply (i.e. remove the plug from the 

mains, remove the disabling device 

or removable battery)

whenever the unit is left unat-

tended;

 

-

before clearing a blockage;

 

-

before checking, cleaning or work-

ing on the unit;

e) This machine should not be used for 

any other purpose than described.

f) Thoroughly inspect the area where 

the machine is to be used and re-

move all objects which can be 

thrown by the machine.

g) Before using the machine and after 

any impact, check for signs of wear 

or damage and repair as necessary.

h) Always ensure that the blow pipe 

is fitted when using the machine. 

Never attempt to use an incomplete 

machine or one fitted with an unau-

thorised modification.

i)  Always be aware of your surround-

ings and stay alert for possible haz-

ards of which you may not be aware 

due to the noise of the machine.

j)  Always ensure that ventilation slots 

are kept clear of debris.

k) Avoid using the machine in bad 

weather conditions. especially if 

there is a risk of lightning.

4 MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

a) When the machine is stopped for 

servicing, inspection, transporting 

or storage, shut off the machine, re-

move the battery and make sure all 

moving parts have come to a com-

plete stop. Allow the machine to cool 

before making any inspections, ad-

justments, etc. Service the machine 

with care and keep it clean.

b) Store the product in a dry, clean 

place protected from direct sunlight 

and only after the battery has been 

removed. 

c) Store the product out of the reach of 

children.

d) Always allow the machine to cool 

down before storing.

e) For safety reasons, replace worn out 

and damaged parts. Use only manu-

facturers recommended replace-

ment parts and accessories.

5 RESIDUAL RISKS

Even if the machine is operated in ac-

cordance with the provision, residual 

risks will always still remain. The fol-

lowing dangers can arise in connection 

with the structure and design of the 

machine:

a) Health defects resulting from vibra-

tion emission if the machine is being 

used over longer period of time or 

not adequately managed and prop-

erly maintained.

b) Injuries and damage to property due 

to broken accessories or hidden ob-

jects that are suddenly dashed.

c) Injuries and damage to property due 

to thrown objects.

6 EMERGENCY

Familiarize yourself with the use of this 

machine by means of this instruction 

manual. Memorize the safety direc-

tions and follow them to the letter. This 

will help to prevent risks and hazards:

a) Always be alert when using this ma-

chine so that you can recognize and 

handle risks early. Fast intervention
