Safety Instructions
WARNING Read all safety warnings
and all instructions. Failure to follow
the warnings and instructions may result
in electric shock, fire and/or serious inju-
ry.
Save all warnings and instructions for fu-
ture reference.
1) TRAINING
a) Read the instructions carefully. Become
familiar with the controls and the cor-
rect use of the machine before attempt-
ing to operate the machine.
b) Never allow children or people unfamil-
iar with these instructions to use the
machine. Local regulations can restrict
the age of the operator.
c) Keep in mind that the operator or user
is responsible for accidents or hazards
occurring to other people or their prop-
erty.
d) Never operate the machine when you
are tired, ill or under the influence of
alcohol, drugs or medicine.
2) PREPARATION
a) This machine can cause serious inju-
ries. Read the instructions carefully
for the correct handling, preparation,
maintenance, starting and stopping of
the machine. Become familiar with all
controls and the proper use of the ma-
chine.
b) Never operate while people, especially
children, or pets are nearby.
c) Dress properly! Do not wear loose
clothing or jewellery and take care of
long hair, they can be sucked into the
ventilation slot. Use sturdy gloves, long
trousers, nonskid footwear and safety
glasses.
d) Do not operate the machine on a paved
or gravel surface, where ejected mate-
rial could cause injury.
3) OPERATION
a) This machine should not be used for
any other purpose than described.
b) While operating, always wear substan-
tial footwear and long trousers. Do not
operate the machine when barefoot or
wearing open sandals. Wear protective
glasses.
c) Thoroughly inspect the area where the
machine is to be used and remove all
objects which can be thrown by the ma-
chine.
d) Before using the machine and after any
impact, check for signs of wear or dam-
age and repair as necessary.
e) Never operate the machine with dam-
aged guards or without the guards in
place.
f) Never allow children or people unfamil-
iar with the instructions to use the ma-
chine.
g) Stop using the machine while people,
especially children, or pets are nearby.
h) Only use the machine in daylight or
good artificial light.
i) Stop the machine before cleaning or
when cleaning blockage.
j) Stop the machine before checking, car-
rying out maintenance or working on
the machine.
k) Stop the machine before leaving the
machine unattended.
l) Operate the machine in a recommended
position and only on a firm, level sur-
face.
m) While operating the machine, always
ensure that the operating position is
safe and secure. Keep the balance at all
time. Always be sure of the footing on
slopes. Walk, never run.
n) To reduce fire hazards, keep the ma-
chine free of debris, leaves and exces-
sive lubricant.
o) Always ensure that the blow pipe is fitted
when using the machine. Never attempt
to use an incomplete machine or one fit-
ted with an unauthorised modification.
p) Always use two hands to operate a ma-
chine with two handles.
