Changing the IP address
1.
After logging into the console port, enter the following command to view the
eth0
configuration:
vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-mgmt0
Note
The eth1 interface must remain as
172.31.1.2
.
Example:
DEVICE=mgmt0
BOOTPROTO=static
IPADDR=192.168.200.10
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
IPV6ADDR=
IPV6PREFIX=
IPV6_AUTOCONF=yes
ONBOOT=yes

Add the following default gateway address to the network configuration file:
vi /etc/sysconfig/network
Example:
HOSTNAME=SN005376
NETWORKING=yes
GATEWAY=192.168.200.1
Setting the IP address to DHCP
1.
To change the IP address from static to DHCP, enter the following command to modify the
eth0
configu-
ration:
vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-mgmt0
Note
You must remove the
IPADDR
and
NETMASK
lines. The
eth1
interface
must remain as
172.31.1.2
.
Example:
