Parts Terminology

Front Panel

PWR LED Lights up when the hub

s power is turned on.

COL LED Flashes when a collision is detected on the network.

Link/DATA LED Lights up when a link to another device is
established on each port. Flashes while there is data communication.

Rear panel

Port 1 to 5(8) RJ-45 port for twisted-pair cabling

Uplink port Port for cascade connection with other hubs (Port 5 or 8 is
used for this).
