Set-up / Commissioning
1. Make sure switch
A
is in the "OFF" position.
2. Connect the power cord to a normal 230 volt outlet.
3. During the first applications, any remaining lubricant
may evaporate. If you notice a slight smell of fire or small
clouds of smoke with a new device, you can continue to
work normally. If this still happens after prolonged use,
please contact technical support.
Normal operation
1. Set the switch
A
to the position "AUTO".
2. When inserting paper into the cutting opening
B
, the
machine starts automatically and stops as soon as all the
paper has passed through.
●
The cutting capacity is 5 sheets (80 g / m
2
) or 1 CD or
credit card. However, you should only destroy paper or
CD / credit cards one at a time, otherwise the machine
may be overloaded.
●
Never attempt to shred sealed envelopes. This may
cause damage to the cutterbar. Empty the envelopes
and unfold the contents completely before shredding.
Rubberized envelopes, labels or other adhesive
products must NEVER be shredded as this can lead to
paper jams.
●
Do not shred wet paper, carbon paper or plastic bags.
The remains will jam the cutterbar, which can lead to
jams and reduced performance of the machine.
●
Although the document shredder is capable of
shredding staples, you should remove them. Paper
clips and industrial staples must be removed.
Destroying credit cards & CDs
Destroy credit cards or CDs by inserting them into the
separate cutting opening
D
.
Set the switch
A
to the position "REV-CD/credit card".
Trouble-shooting
Overheating:
The shredder is built for short periods of use only.
Continuous shredding should
not last more than 2 minutes, after which the shredder
should be allowed to cool
down for 60 minutes before continuing. If the shredder is
used continuously for
more than 2 minutes it will stop operating. In this case,
set the switch
A
to the
"OFF" position. The shredder will not resume its normal
operation until the motor has cooled down to a safe
temperature. This may take 60 minutes
Paper jam:
If too much paper has been inserted, a jam may result. To
clear the jam, empty the waste basket
C
first and mount
the shredder on the basket again. Move the switch
A
to
the "REV" (rewind) position to clear the shredder of paper
that has not passed through properly. If not all the paper
can be removed, set the function switch
A
to position
"AUTO" (forward). The shredder will now try to shred the
remaining paper again. This procedure may be repeated
several times until the jam is cleared.
Cleaning and care
Occasionally insert some oiled paper into the paper
opening and run the unit in "REV mode" for about
10 seconds. Use PEACH Oiled Paper PS100-00 (or
alternatively PEACH Paper Shredder Special Oil PS100-
05).
The outside of the unit can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Do not use solvents or flammable materials for cleaning.
Disposal
Guideline 2012/19/EU concerning the
handling, collection, recycling and
disposal of electrical and electronic
equipment and their components (‘waste
electrical and electronic equipment’,
known as WEEE).
The crossed symbol on a waste container indicates
that the machine or appliance must not be disposed
of with household waste, but must be handed over to
an appropriately equipped collection point for proper
disposal.
