Safety information
The following safety instructions must always
be observed when using electrical equipment:
Do not place the unit near sources of
heat or water.
Do not use the device in dusty or poten-
tially explosive atmospheres (flammable
gases, vapours, vapours from organic
solvents).
Do not use the device outdoors.
Do not place any objects on the unit.
Avoid life-threatening
electric shock!
Immediately have damaged power plugs
or cords replaced by authorized service
personnel or service personnel in order
to avoid hazards.
Have equipment that do not function
properly or are damaged immediately
inspected and repaired by authorized
service personnel or customer service.
Do not expose the unit to rain or use in
damp or wet environments.
Make sure that the power cord is never
wet or damp during operation.
Avoid risk of injury!
The paper shredder should only be op-
erated by one person.
Never leave the unit unattended during
operation.
Keep loose clothing, long hair, jewellery,
etc. away from the blade opening. If an
object (sleeves, tie, etc.) should inadvert-
ently get into the inlet, immediately unplug
the power plug from the wall outlet.
Never put your fingers in the blade
opening.
Keep animals away from the unit. They
can injure themselves.
This equipment may be used by children
aged 8 years and over, and by persons
with impaired physical, sensory or men-
tal abilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been supervised
or instructed in the safe use of the
equipment and understand the resulting
hazards. Children are not allowed to
play with the device.
Cleaning and user maintenance must
not be carried out by children without
supervision.
The packaging material is a danger to
children. Dispose of packaging material
immediately after unpacking or store it
inaccessible to children.
Lay the power cord so that no one can
step on it or trip over it.

Place the unit in close proximity to the
power outlet. Do not use an extension
cable. Make sure that the device and
the power plug are easily accessible
and quickly accessible in an emergency.
In the event of danger, immediately dis-
connect the mains plug from the power
outlet.
Never use the shredder for any purpose
other than that intended.
Always be attentive! Always pay attention
to what you are doing and always pro-
ceed with reason. Do not use the device
in any case, if you are not focused or un-
comfortable.
