4. Measurement Considerations
Holding the meter by its handle, point the IR sensor toward the
object whose temperature is to be measured.
5. How to Use
1.
Hold the unit near the location you want to scan for a draft
or thermal leak.
2.
Turn on the power with SCAN-Key.
3.
Measure and aim at the desired reference value.
4.
Press MODE-Key to set a reference value.
5.
Select desired temperature difference value with slider
switch.
6.
Slowly scan the temperature is hotter than the reference
temperature by more than the threshold, the light will turn
from green to red and buzzer will quickly ring. If the
scanned temperature is colder than the reference
temperature by more than the threshold, the light will turn
from green to blue and buzzer will slow ring.
Setting threshold for color change
For detecting small temperature changes of 1°C (1,8°F),
move the slider to the 1°C mark on the right panel
For detecting medium temperature changes of 3°C
(5,4°F), move the slider to the 3°C mark on the right panel
For detecting large temperature changes of 5°C (9,0°F),
move the slider to the 5°C mark on the right panel
