BATTERY MAINTENANCE
DANGER!
IT IS PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT THAT THE
BATTERY IS SOLIDLY FIXED IN THE BATTERY SPACE: A
BATTERY LOOSE FIXED COULD CAUSE THE TRUCK
INSTABILITY AND CONSEQUENTLY ITS OVERTURN
CONTROL OF THE FASTENING SYSTEM OF THE BATTERY:
It is important periodically to control in the battery space that:
1) the fastening screws of the battery (1) are not loose: in this case tighten them to the
bottom to avoid that batteries are blocked in their space
.
2) that in the areas next to the fastening screws are not traces of metal alterations, in
this case proceed as follows:
1 - disconnect the socket at the interior of battery space (1)
2 - dismantle the flange supporting the socket pushing on the two fastening screws (2)
3 - take out the battery removing the screws shown in figure (3)
4 - carefully clean and eliminate the dirt from the corroded area;
5 - paint again with anti-acid paint;
6 - install again the battery and the flange supporting the socket fastening tight with the
screws
7 - connect the back.

MAINTENANCE OF THE OLEODYNAMIC POWER UNIT
Periodically it is necessary to control the level of oil in the oleodynamic power unit which
directs the lifting operations, to execute this operation operate as follows :
1) lower the forks at the minimum possible height
2) disconnect the battery (1);
3) unscrew the screws (2 and 4) to remove the rear cover (3).
4) remove the cap (5) and control the level of the oil in the tank which must not be under 2
cm respect to the cap; if necessary execute the filling up with oil for electro-dynamic
circuits with a viscosity ISO VG46 with the help of a long funnel.
5) screw again with care the cap of the tank, pay attention to not contaminate the oil with
impurity.
6) Reassemble again the rear cover.
