Common faults and handling
The failure of the operator is sometimes caused by several different reasons. It
is difficult to find out the causes thoroughly. If the error handling method is
adopted, it may lead to further deterioration of the failure. Therefore, it is very
important to analyze the failure situation in detail and find out the real cause
Possible faults and causes of the operator are shown in Table 14-1. If you are

Fixing of the base:
1.It may be because the
manipulator base is not firmly
fixed on the workshop pedestal
2.It may be because the base is
floated from the workshop
pedestal and the impact vibration
is
generated
when
the
manipulator moves due to loose
screws, insufficient flatness of the
base and inclusion of foreign
objects
1.When the screws are loose,
tighten them at an appropriate
torque with a torque wrench
2.Trim the flatness of the base to
meet the tolerance requirements
3.Check whether there is any
foreign matter trapped, and if yes,
remove it

The workshop pedestal vibrates
when the manipulator moves
Workshop pedestal:
1.It may be because the workshop
pedestal is not completely fixed
onto the workshop foundation,
and the workshop pedestal
generates
vibration
during
operation and movement
2.It may be because the workshop
pedestal has poor rigidity and is
involved with deformation due to
reaction forces and moments
generated when the manipulator
moves
1.Fix the workshop pedestal
completely through corresponding
methods
2.Machine the workshop pedestal
to increase its rigidity
3.For the workshop pedestal that
is difficult to machine, the
vibration can be reduced by
changing the movement program
