Maintenance and care
1. Check that the vacuum cleaner lid is closed and
locked. Then turn on the collector with the power
switch.
2. The collector is activated immediately and draws
airborne particles from the blasting cabinet and
into the filter and dust housing.
3. To prevent accidents, turn off the tool and dis-
connect the power supply after use.
Routines not expressly specified in this manual may
only be performed by a qualified technician.
To prevent general damage from accidental use:
Turn off the power switch on the vacuum cleaner
and unplug it from the electrical outlet before perfor-
ming any of the procedures in this section.
To prevent general damage from tool failure: Do not
use damaged equipment. If abnormal noise or vibra
-
tion occurs, fix the problem before using it.
1. Before each use.
Check the general condition of the tool before each
use. Check for:
•
loose parts,
•
cracked or broken parts,
•
damaged electrical wires,
•
plugged hose or intake,
•
all other conditions that may affect safe opera-
tion.
•
misalignment of moving parts.
2. After use.
Wipe the outer surfaces of the tool with a clean
cloth.
3. Insufficient ventilation of the blast cabinet
will result in reduced cleaning power and reduced vi-
sibility in the cabinet. Empty the dust container after
20 to 30 minutes of using the blast cabinet (more
often in more dusty conditions):
•
Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
•
Loosen the latch and open the lid at the bottom
of the dust container. Then allow dust and debris
to fall out into a suitable waste container.
•
Push in and out on the drawbar several times to
help shake out any remaining dust and debris
from the dust container.
•
Close the lid and attach the latch.
4. Periodically remove the filter
and use compressed air to blow out dust and debris
from the filter so that the vacuum cleaner works ef
-
ficiently. Replace the filter as needed:
1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the radial cover from the top of the dust
container.
3.
Remove the filter and clean with compressed air.
4.
Replace the filter and the radial protection.
Troubleshooting
Problem
Possible solution
The vacuum
cleaner can not be
started
1. Make sure the power
switch is in the "ON" posi-
tion.
2. Make sure that the mains
cable on the vacuum
cleaner is properly con-
nected to a working,
earthed electrical outlet.
3. Have a vacuum clea-
ner and blower cabinet
inspected by a qualified
service technician.
Poor visibility
inside the blast
cabinet
1. Check that the vacuum
cleaner is on.
2. The container is full.
Empty and clean.
3.
The filter must be cleaned
or replaced.
4. Check that nothing is
blocking the hoses.
5.
Have a qualified service
technician check.
Follow all safety precautions when diagnosing
or servicing the tool. Disconnect power before
servicing.
5. Warning!
If the power cord of the vacuum cleaner is damaged,
it must be replaced by a qualified service technician
