(Typically used when all the tension on the spring has been released):

Remove each screen guide from the window by removing the screen guide attachment
screws.
Pull the bottom of the guide toward the center of the window, then pull it down to
release it from the end cap.

Remove the Rolscreen assembly
by removing the attachment screws.

Locate the slotted end of the screen assembly; to
set the tensions
- use a flat blade screwdriver to turn
the spring assembly in the direction of the arrows.
Depending on the width unit, the number of turns (full
rotations) required to re-tension when the tension is
released will vary:
Units with frame width of 20-3/4" or less
require 11
turns for re-tensioning.
Units with frame width > 20-3/4"
require 27 turns
for re-tensioning.
After the final rotation,
turn the screwdriver back
slightly until resistance is felt indicating the spring
tension will hold. If resistance is felt immediately do
not force it back any further because the tensioning
mechanism could be damaged by too much force.
