PEL/00023a/UK (2) January 2020
Before you start using Pelviva we recommend you read the Instructions for Use leaflet and watch the
‘How to Use’ video on the Pelviva website. Please also check the conditions and warnings
(contraindications) and when not to use Pelviva guidance to make sure Pelviva is suitable for you to use.

mimics the
way your body
works naturally
& stimulates your
Pelvic Floor
muscles for
you
Pelviva automatically starts
Pulses
are automatically generated by the Pelviva stimulator
contained within the foam. These travel from the pulse pads
to your Pelvic Floor muscles and return back to the pulse
pads.
The
Pelviva foam
holds the pulse p ads in close contact with
your vaginal tissue allowing the pulse to be conducted into
your Pelvic Floor muscle.
Pelviva continuously transmits pulses until the
microprocessor detects that your
target treatment intensity
has been reached. The feedback mechanism monitors the
level of stimulation to ensure your target treatment intensity
is maintained.
Target treatment level reached. Your treatment programme begins
End of 30
minute treatment
At the
end of the treatment
programme Pelviva
stops automatically. To remove Pelviva, pull gently on
the removal cord, wrap and dispose of in the normal
household waste.
Get comfortable.
Apply the OptiLube™ jelly to Pelviva.
When you are ready to position Pelviva,
pull the tab
.
Do not delay. Once you have pulled the tab, the Pelviva
starts within 10 seconds, it will automatically ‘switch off’
if not positioned in the vagina within 1 minute.
Gently squeeze the
pulse pads
together. (This makes it
easy to insert Pelviva inside the vagina. Pelviva should
sit slightly below where a tampon fits).

Series of
10 x 1 second
pulse trains
Followed by
rest phases of
10 seconds
Once the target intensity is reached the microprocessor
starts the
treatment programme
consisting of a phase
of
10x 1 second pulse trains
.
Each phase is followed by a
rest phase of 10 seconds
which protects against over exercising your muscles.
The
stimulation
and rest phases
are repeated
for the
remainder of the 30 minute programme.
The
stimulation pulses
simultaneously target both your
power and endurance muscles in the Pelvic Floor to
help you regain control if you leak when you exercise,
cough or laugh, or to hold on when you urgently need
to go to the toilet.
