Heating Cable Installation

• Protect all heating cable ends from moisture, con-
tamination and mechanical damage.

When paying out the heating cable, AVOID:
• Sharp edges
• Excessive pulling force or jerking
• Kinking and crushing
• Walking on it, or running over it with equipment
WARNING: Fire and shock hazard. Do not install
damaged cable. Connection kits and cable ends must
be kept dry before and during installation.
Positioning heating cables
If possible, position the heating cable on the lower
section of the pipe, at the 4 or 8 o’clock positions, as
shown below, to protect it from damage.
