4. Insert the permanent filter into the filter basket. If you use the filter paper
instead of the permanent filter, place a paper filter (size 1x4) with folded
seams into the filter basket. Folding these down ensures that the paper
filter fits better into the filter basket, and prevents the seams from
tearing.
5. Place coffee grounds into the filter. For medium-strength coffee, place
one coffee scoop (around 7-8g) of coffee grounds per cup into the filter.
Use coffee that has been ground for filter coffee with a medium fine-
ness.
6. Close the lid of the coffee maker.
7. Place the glass pot onto the hotplate.
8. Press the on/off switch . The switch illuminates during operation. After
a short time, the boiling process will start.
9. When the water has passed through, wait a further 2 minutes or so be-
fore removing the pot. This allows the remaining coffee to pass through
the filter.
10. To pour the coffee, remove the glass pot.
nOtES:
• If you do not intend to serve the coffee immediately, initially leave the
glass pot on the hotplate. The hotplate keeps the coffee hot for approx.
40 minutes. The coffee maker switches off automatically after approx.
40 minutes.
• Only freshly brewed coffee has the full aroma. The aroma evaporates
after standing for an extended period.
11. Press the on/off switch to turn the coffee maker off. The control lamp
in the switch goes out.
Before you brew the next pot of coffee, the device must cool down for
around 5 minutes.
