Belt tension
The belt tension is relatively maintenance free. The spring loaded idler will keep constant pres-
sure on the belt during use. However, there is a slight adjustment by tightening or loosening
the eye bolt, increasing or decreasing the spring tension.
Replacing the belts
Follow these steps to replace the drive belt. The CX350 chipper uses (1) B-58 belt.
•
Remove the idler spring to release the tension on the belt.
•
Remove the bolts that attach the bearings and slide the shaft forward.
•
Replace the belt and bolt the bearings back into position. Reinstall the idler spring. Be sure
to put the safety shield back on.
