"Updated Database " will compare the existing songs in HD with the Mu-
sic Library (database) and only the differenc
e between the two wil
l be
processed. On the other hand, “Rebuil
d Database” will generate a new
Music Library according to song in HD and replace t
he old one directly
.
In general, “Updat
e Database” offers you a faster way to updat
e the Music
Library.
In case there is significant difference in HD content after connecting USB,
“Rebuild Database” is a more efficient mean t
o reflect your changes in the
Music Library
.
An ext
reme example is that you eras
e all the songs in HD and load
ed a
completely new set of songs, t
hen updat
ing the database by “Rebuild Da-
tabase” option will be faster than “Updat
e Database”.
