5. Operating Instructions
IMPORTANT
: Sawing requires a low pressure from your side. Too much pressure will place unnecessary load on the
motor and will slow down the saw blade.
a. Mounting the parallel guide (fig. C)
The parallel guide allows sawing parallel to an edge at a maximum distance of 10cm.
•
Loosen the adjusting screw (2).
•
Insert the guide (3) into the shoe (1) and adjust to the desired distance.
•
Tighten the screw.
b. Fitting and removing a saw blade (fig. E)
CAUTION:
Unplug the device first. The blade must have come to a complete stop before replacing it.
Do not use blades with a thickness exceeding the riving knife thickness or a tooth setting smaller than the
riving knife thickness.
•
Hold the flange (7) using the spanner.
•
Use the spanner (1) to loosen the fixing screw. Remove it.
•
Remove the flange.
•
Hold the saw blade guard (4) in the position shown in the illustration.
•
Remove the old blade and replace it by a new one. Point the teeth of the blade towards the rotation direction (see
the arrow on the housing).
•
Move the saw blade guard back into its original position
•
Place the flange back on the blade and tighten the screw.
•
Adjust the riving knife.
c. Setting the riving knife (fig. D)
•
Loosen the screws (1) slightly.
•
Adjust the riving knife (2) in such a way that:
The distance between the riving knife and the teeth of the blade is 2-5mm.
The lowest tooth of the blade shouldn’t protrude more than 5mm below the riving knife.
•
Tighten the screws.
d. Setting the mitre angle (fig. A & B)
The mitre angle is variable between 0° and 45°.
•
Loosen the screws (3 and 8) slightly.
•
Set the required angle by means of the scale (2).
•
Tighten the screws.
e. Setting the cutting depth (fig. B)
A clean cut is achieved with a saw blade protruding by approximately 3mm.
•
Loosen the screw (9) slightly.
•
Set the required depth by means of the scale (7).
•
Tighten the screw.
