7.7 Operating the Boom Barrier in Case of Power Loss
In the event that the boom barrier can no longer be operated electrically for whatever reason,
you should first check the boom barrier’s power supply. However, you can also open or close
our electro-mechanical boom barriers by hand. For this purpose, you need to remove the
housing (the photos show the stainless steel housing in the as-delivered state, i.e. still
covered in the protective film):
The hood is fitted with a magnetic safety switch which disables all electrical functions, once
the hood has been removed. Nevertheless, you should turn off the main switch (shown on
the lower left-hand side in Figure 7.14) for safety reasons.

Unlock the housing on the front side, push the hood towards the back and lift it.
